For my 40th birthday my husband booked a lovely trip to the Lake District for us both and our daughter. I had rested for several days before so that I would be at my best, and was feeling happy and excited.
But the journey of just over an hour exhausted me and left me in great pain even though I was not driving! We had a meal booked for 7pm but half way through the meal I had to go to bed as I was just too exhausted to stay up. My husband and daughter spent the evening playing cards in the room.
The next day I could barely walk even with my stick and him supporting me, so he hired a boat and spent hours rowing me around the lake.
Compare that with my 46th birthday – this time we went to Lake Vyrnwy in Wales. We arrived early and our room was not ready so we walked around the lake – it’s over 13 miles. When we had finished my husband was shattered – I was actually a bit disappointed because I wanted us to walk round it again.
The following day I was absolutely fine – no aches or pains. My husband’s legs were aching a lot though!!!!
Please let me be clear I am not claiming to have found a cure, but I have spent many years studying the power of the mind and how to use this power combined with self help alternative therapies to give myself freedom from Fibromyalgia.
Things have been extremely rough and tough here in the for the past few weeks, and yet you will be proud of how well I am coping. I am lacking time to put all things into practice, but even so, everything just doesn’t seem to bother me in the way it used to. I know my family have noticed a big difference, and I believe it has made us all better people, not just me as I am sure my husbands coping mechanism is down to how well I am coping most times too, and the less stress shown is obviously good for the boys.

Thank you so much for the download "Forget Fibromyalgia" it has been a great help and really helped me with managing my pain. There were so many great resources and techniques which I am using daily. I am now only taking painkillers on an odd occasion although still taking amitryptyline to help me sleep. How well am I?
I am now very in tune with my body. I know “it” is still there in the background, ready to pounce, but because I now live my life from a place of emotional wellness I am able to have a full and active life that is so much happier than before I developed Fibromyalgia.

For many years, the scientific and athletic communities thought that it was impossible to run a four-minute mile. They actually thought that our bodies could not cope with the strain of running at this speed. Then in 1954 by Rodger Banister did it. He broke the ‘four minute barrier’ running it in 59.4 seconds and since then it has been broken many times - the record had been lowered by almost 17 seconds.
Now you could think ok but he was just one man and now diets are better, people are stronger so that’s why people can do it now.
